AI Hackathon, 14-23 October 2025 - Application DL = 5 August

Dear ASC users and friends, before we go into the summer break, we would like to invite you to our AI Hackathon in October with an application deadline by 5 August 2025 and update you on a few news concerning ASC/VSC. * AI Hackathon on 14-23 October 2025 (application deadline 5 August 2025) * All training events by ASC * VSC has a new name: ASC - Austrian Scientific Computing * Welcome on board (info about the [ASC Training News] mailing list for our (new) subscribers) AI Hackathon 14-23 October 2025, 09:00-17:00 CEST Together with NVIDIA, OpenACC organization, and other partners from the EuroCC network we are hosting an AI hackathon for teams of at least 3 team members based in EU and/or EuroCC countries who are looking to take their AI projects to the next level. Teams are expected to bring their own AI project with a permissive-style open source license to the hackathon. Open AI Hackathons are multi-day, intensive hands-on events designed to help AI and ML engineers and data scientists accelerate, optimize, and scale their real-world projects leveraging the latest technologies. The event pairs participating teams with dedicated expert mentors to enhance the performance, efficiency, and scalability of their applications using state-of-the-art programming models, libraries, and tools. Whether you're working on deep learning, data analytics, or model optimization, this hackathon provides a unique opportunity to push the boundaries of innovation using an advanced AI and ML infrastructure. In the application form we need to see a good description of the AI project together with the goals the team wants to achieve during the hackathon and a full commitment of the team to not only be present during the entire hackathon but also a strong will and dedication of the team to make progress. Each team will get access to enough GPU resources (A100, H100, GH100, DGX) during the hackathon and will be supported by at least two expert mentors (one from NVIDIA and one from the EuroCC national competence centers).
